About Noe Valley

Noe Valley is an affluent community in San Francisco, California. This neighborhood is located in the central part of the city. The neighborhood is bounded by the following streets: 21st Street, 30th Street, Dolores Street, and Grand View Avenue. There are other notable landmarks close to the Noe Valley neighborhood such as the Mission District and The Castro.

Noe Valley started development by the late 19th century, specifically in the period following the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. This explains why most of the homes in the neighborhood exhibit the classic architectural styles such as Victorian or Edwardian styles. The street planning in today’s Noe Valley is highly dense with each row of streets containing 3 to 4 houses. Most of these houses have been around (and mostly remain unchanged) since the early 20th century.

Aside from the beautiful views from the homes and the easy commute, Noe Valley is fast becoming one of the most desirable neighborhoods in San Francisco. It has its own 24th Street shopping district that offers an assortment of restaurants and shops. There is even a Whole Foods market in the district. As a bonus, Noe Valley experiences one of the sunniest weather conditions in the city. But all of these pleasures come at a steep price with single family homes approaching $3 million!
