In the latest SF Bay Area migration news, research from LinkedIn suggests that "younger, professional workers—who helped power the region’s economy in the Before Times—are starting to trickle back."
While SF lost population last year, falling by 0.5% from July 2021 to July 2022, it was a far cry from the 3.7% lost the previous year. "Put another way," says the SF Standard, "the era of digital nomads permanently decamping to Hawaii appears to be largely over."
Our own data points from current Vivre buyers and sellers indicate that this is going to be a very active year in SF real estate. Initial reports from our team and clients show real estate activity popping back. (That said, if you do want to decamp to Maui, we got ya covered with our Maui Vacation, Second-Home and Retirement Guide.)
As always, we are here to enhance your home life—whether helping you into the right new home and Bay Area community, or maximizing your enjoyment and investment in your current property. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any real estate questions!
Warmly,
The Vivre Real Estate team
The Most Beautiful Building in San Francisco. When I first visited SF City Hall for a charity event, I was instantly amazed by its beauty and grandeur. To think of all the history, and the leaders who have made their mark at City Hall, made it extra special. Our wedding day could not be more perfect. It was sunny with a cool breeze. I loved that many families of different backgrounds were also sharing their special day in the same building. If you are looking for a wedding venue, or just beautiful architecture, you should definitely visit!
"The Headlands is a complicated love letter to our city. Obie Award–winning playwright Christopher Chen dives deep into his San Francisco roots to tell the story of true-crime fan Henry Wong." Feb 9–Mar 5 at The Toni Rembe (Geary) Theater. I'm so excited to go!

My hands-down favorite place in the city to take my dog Rudy is Francisco Park in Russian Hill. It finally opened in 2022, and it was worth the wait! We now have one of the best fenced-in dog runs in SF right here in the neighborhood. The 4.5 acre park's upper lawn is also perfect for a picnic overlooking Alcatraz, or an afternoon with the kids on the playground. The best part? Because people are consistently coming and going, parking is always SO easy.
